VINTERSORG Side Project To Record Album For NAPALM RECORDS

FISSION, the new "melodic thrash" band featuring BORKNAGAR frontman Andreas Hedlund (a.k.a. Vintersorg) and VINTERSORG live session drummer Benny "Hägge" Hägglund, have inked a deal with Napalm Records for the release of their debut album, tentatively due in early 2004. "It's heavy and hard, still harmonious and melodic," says Vintersorg. "I'm very impressed with the songs we've done so far."

As previously reported, BORKNAGAR are hard at work at Toproom and Fagerborg Studios with producer Borge Finstad (MAYHEM, SOLEFALD) recording the follow-up to 2001's "Empiricism", due in early 2004 through Century Media Records.
